Human rights activist Bezwada Wilson and Carnatic musician Thodur Madabusi Krishna are winners of the Magsaysay Award from India in 2016. Acharya vinobha Bhave was the first Indian to receive Ramon Magsaysay award in 1958 for community leadership.
