This festival is celebrated after every 12 years in Nirmand town (Kullu district). It is associated with the worship of Parshuram and at some places with Kali and Devi Ambika. The ceremony consists of stretching a long rope (around 500 metres) by a person from Beda tribe, who weaves it by collecting the ‘Munji’ grass just one month before the festival. Like Bhunda is a festival of Brahmins, Shant is celebrated by Rajputs and Bhoj is celebrated by Koli people in the same way.
