Applications are invited on prescribed proforma from the interested eligible candidates for filling up the Faculty posts i.e. Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor on contract basis in various Departments at Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Govt. Medical College Chamba, District Chamba (H.P.) as per H.P. R&P rules & MCI/NMC Norms. The interested eligible candidates may apply for the posts through this office official e-mail ([email protected]) upto 19-02-2022 till 05:00 PM and may appear in the walk-in-interview alongwith prescribed application form as Annexure-B and relevant documents as per Annexure-A on the stipulated date, time and venue as under:

Eligibility criteria (As per H.P. R&P rules and NMC Norms):

1. Professor

 Essential Qualifications:- 

(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule (other than a licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualification included in part-II of the third schedule should also fulfill the condition stipulated in sub-section (3) of section-13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

 (ii) A post-graduate degree in the concerned specialty (i.e. MD/MS) or its equivalent qualifications, 

(iii) At least 4 years teaching experience as Associate Professor in the concerned speciality failing which an Associate Professor having 7 years teaching experience as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor combined in the concerned specialty. However in all cases the incumbent shall have minimum ten years teaching experience after post graduation in any recognized Medical College. As per NMC norms, three Research publications (at least two as Associate Professor) (only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals included in Medline, Pubmed Central, Citation index, Sciences Citation index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open access journals (DoAJ) will be considered). The author must be amongst first three or should be the Corresponding author.

 2. Associate Professor 

Essential Qualifications:- 

(1) A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule (other than a licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act-1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in part-II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section-13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. 

(ii) A postgraduate degree in the concerned speciality (i.e. MD/MS) or its equivalent qualifications, 

(iii) At least five years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned speciality failing which an Assistant Professor having Six years teaching experience as Assistant Professor and Lecturer combined which shall include four years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned specialty after post graduation in any recognized Medical College. However, in all cases the incumbent should possess atleast five years teaching experience after post graduation in the concerned speciality, As per NMC norms, one Research publication (only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals included in Medline, Pubmed Central, Citation index, Sciences Citation index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open access journals (DoAJ) will be considered). The author must be amongst first three or should be the Corresponding author. 

3. Assistant Professor

 Essential Qualifications:- 

(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act-1956. Holders of educational qualification included in part-II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section-13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. 

(ii)A postgraduate degree in the concerned speciality (i.e. MD/ MS) or its equivalent qualifications. 

(iii) At least 3 years teaching experience as Lecturer / Registrar / Demonstrator/ Resident after doing post-graduation in the concerned speciality in any recognized Medical College. Publication of research papers in Index journals desirable as per H.P.R&P rules.

4. Professor (Dentistry) 

Essential Qualifications:-

 (i) A recognized Dental Qualification included in the Scheduel of Indian Dentistry Act, 1948 (Act XVI of 1948). 

(ii) A post-graduate degree (MDS) Dentistry. 

(iii) At least 4 years teaching experience as Associate Professor (Dentistry) in the concerned speciality failing which an Associate Professor (Dentistry) having 7 years teaching experience as 7 Associate Professor (Dentistry) and Assistant Professor (Dentistry) combined in the concerned specialty. However in all cases the incumbent shall have minimum ten years teaching experience after post graduation in any recognized Medical College. · As per NMC norms, three Research publications (at least two as Associate Professor) (only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals included in Medline, Pubmed Central, Citation index, Sciences Citation index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open access journals (DoAJ) will be considered). The author must be amongst first three or should be the Corresponding author. 

Desirable qualifications:– Knowledge of customs / manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh. 

 Age criteria:- As per State R&P rules & MCI/NMC Norms.

 Important instructions:

1) It is mandatory for the candidate to show all the original documents before the interview committee during the walk-in-interview. 

2) Incomplete applications shall not be considered at all and shall be rejected out-rightly. The Principal will make no further correspondence with the candidate in the matter. 

3) The candidate should enclosed the certified/ self attested copies of the following certificates/documents alongwith application form:

a) Certificate of Matriculation or its equivalent examination (for verification of age).

 b) Detail marks certificate of Professional examination (Degree/Diploma). 

c) Attempt certificate in respect of MBBS/MD/MS. 

d) Latest Registration Certificate from Medical Council. 

e) Publications.

 f) Certificate showing category i.e. Gen./SC/ST/OBC etc. 

g) Character certificate from competent authority.

 h) Identity/Address proof.

 i) Two passport size photographs. 

The appointment order will be issued on receipt of final approval from the H.P. Government/Director Medical Education & Research, H.P. The undersigned reserves the right to postpone/cancel the recruitment process of faculty without assigning any reason.
