During the “Himalayan Bird Count and Global Big Day-2026,” a record 208 bird species were documented in a single day. इस अभियान में प्रदेश के 12 जिलों के पक्षी प्रेमियों, वन अधिकारियों, छात्रों और स्थानीय समुदायों ने भाग लिया। कार्यक्रम में 1500 से अधिक प्रतिभागियों ने सहभागिता की। Bird enthusiasts, forest officials, students, and local communities from all 12 districts of the state participated in the campaign. More than 1500 participants took part in the event.
कांगड़ा जिला रहा सबसे आगे Kangra District Led the Survey
- कांगड़ा जिले में सबसे अधिक 126 पक्षी प्रजातियों की रिकॉर्डिंग की गई, जबकि मंडी जिले में 37 ई-बर्ड चेकलिस्ट जमा की गईं। Kangra district recorded the highest number with 126 bird species, while 37 eBird checklists were submitted from Mandi district.
- यह पहली बार था जब प्रदेश के सभी 12 जिलों में इस प्रकार की समन्वित पक्षी गणना गतिविधि आयोजित की गई। This was the first time that a coordinated bird counting activity was conducted across all 12 districts of Himachal Pradesh.
ई-बर्ड प्लेटफॉर्म का उपयोग Use of eBird Platform
- प्रतिभागियों ने ई-बर्ड प्लेटफॉर्म के माध्यम से हिमालयी क्षेत्र में पाए जाने वाले पक्षियों का डिजिटल दस्तावेजीकरण किया। Participants used the eBird platform to digitally document bird species found in the Himalayan region.
- विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार, पक्षी गणना के दौरान कई ऐसी प्रजातियां भी देखी गईं जो हिमालयी पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र और पर्यावरणीय स्वास्थ्य के महत्वपूर्ण संकेतक मानी जाती हैं। Experts stated that several species observed during the survey are considered important indicators of the Himalayan ecosystem and environmental health.
