Himachal’s Nishad Kumar won silver in Paris Paralympics

Indian para athlete Nishad Kumar performed brilliantly in the men’s T47 high jump event and won the silver medal. In the competition held on Sunday evening, Nishad Kumar jumped 2.04 m high and won the silver medal in the Paris Paralympic Games. This is India’s seventh medal in the Paris Paralympics.

America’s Roderick Townsend Robot secured the first position by making a 2.08 meter High Jump. Nishad Kumar’s performance has created a festive atmosphere in Himachal and Nishad is receiving congratulations from all sides. Nishad Kumar is a resident of Badayun village of Tehsil Amb in Una district of Himachal Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Singh Modi, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu have congratulated Nishad Kumar on winning the silver medal.
