मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंद्र सिंह सुक्खू ने नववर्ष पर सौगात देते हुए कहा कि हिमाचल प्रदेश में अनाथ बच्चों और असहायों के लिए मुख्यमंत्री सुखाश्रय कोष बनाएंगे।
इसके लिए तुरंत प्रभाव से 101 करोड़ रुपये के बजट का तुरंत प्रावधान किया गया है।
सीएम ने कहा कि सभी कांग्रेस विधायक इस कोष में अपनी पहली तनख्वाह से एक-एक लाख रुपये इस कोष में दान करेंगे।
भाजपा विधायकों से भी अंशदान के लिए अनुरोध किया जाएगा।
सीएम ने कहा कि अनाथालयों में रह रहे बच्चों को इस कोष में एकत्र बजट से जेब खर्च के लिए भी दिया जाएगा। उनकी उच्च शिक्षा का खर्च भी इसी से वहन होगा।
उन्होंने कहा कि पूरे हिमाचल में अनाथाश्रमों में करीब छह हजार लोग होंगे। 12वीं कक्षा की पढ़ाई तक तो अनाथाश्रम बच्चों को आश्रय देते हैं। उसके बाद की पढ़ाई का खर्च इसी कोष से होगा। बच्चों को 4,000 तक जेब खर्चा भी देंगे।

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, while giving a gift on the occasion of New Year, said that the Chief Minister will set up a Sukhashraya Fund for orphans and helpless children in Himachal Pradesh.
For this, a budget provision of Rs 101 crore has been made with immediate effect.
The CM said that all Congress MLAs will donate one lakh rupees each from their first salary in this fund.
BJP MLAs will also be requested to contribute.
The CM said that children living in orphanages would also be given pocket money from the budget collected in this fund. The expenses of his higher education will also be borne by this.
He said that there would be about six thousand people in orphanages across Himachal. Orphanages give shelter to children till class 12th. The expenses of his subsequent studies will be from this fund. Children will also be given pocket money up to Rs 4,000.
