HPPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 373 Posts | Apply Online
The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has released a major recruitment notification for Assistant Professor (College Cadre) posts in the Higher Education Department, Himachal Pradesh. Eligible candidates can apply online through the HPPSC website before the last date.
A total of 373 Assistant Professor vacancies have been advertised across various subjects including Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English, Hindi, Commerce, Political Science, Geography, Botany, Zoology and many more. The recruitment will be conducted under the Job Trainee Scheme with fixed monthly emoluments of ₹35,000.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.
Candidates must have qualified NET, SET or SLET. Candidates who qualify SET-2026 will also be eligible to apply as per HPPSC rules.
A relaxation of 5% marks is available for SC, ST, OBC and eligible reserved category candidates as per Government norms.

Negative Marking
HPPSC has prescribed negative marking for objective-type questions. One-fourth (0.25) mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Unattempted questions may also attract penalty if left blank.
