Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has released Advertisement No. 5/6-2026 to 12/6-2026 for recruitment to various Assistant Professor (Super Specialty) posts in the Department of Medical Education & Research, Himachal Pradesh. HPPSC Assistant Professor Pay Scale 2026
The selected candidates will be appointed on regular basis in the Department of Medical Education & Research, Himachal Pradesh.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a recognized MBBS qualification included in the schedules of the National Medical Commission Act/Indian Medical Council Act.
Applicants should also possess the required Super Specialty qualification in the concerned discipline along with teaching experience in a recognized Medical College.

- Neurology: D.M. Neurology
- Cardiology: D.M. Cardiology
- Gastroenterology: D.M. Gastroenterology
- Plastic Surgery: M.Ch. Plastic Surgery
- Cardiac Anaesthesia: D.M. Cardiac Anaesthesia
- Endocrinology: D.M. Endocrinology OR MD Medicine/MD Paediatrics with 2 years special training in Endocrinology
Candidates should have at least 3 years teaching experience as Lecturer, Registrar, Demonstrator or Resident after post-graduation in the concerned specialty.
Two/Three-year D.M./M.Ch. degree courses shall be counted as teaching experience as per recruitment rules.
Desirable Qualification
- Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
- Publication of research papers in indexed journals.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 45 Years
- Age will be calculated as on 01 January 2026.
- Age relaxation will be applicable as per Himachal Pradesh Government rules.
