Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the Trainee Driver post must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:
- Must have passed 10+2 from a recognized Board.
- Must possess a valid LMV/HMV driving license.
- Should be capable of driving vehicles in hilly areas.
- Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh customs, dialects, and local conditions will be preferred.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 45 Years
- Age will be calculated as on the closing date of application.
- Age relaxation will be applicable as per Himachal Pradesh Government rules.
Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly consolidated remuneration of ₹13,000/- per month.
HPPTCL Driver Selection Process 2026
Selection will be based on Driving Skill Test and evaluation of different parameters carrying a total of 100 marks.

Weightage for 10+2 Marks
Candidates will receive marks based on their percentage in the 10+2 examination. The obtained percentage will be multiplied by 0.20.
For example, if a candidate has scored 50% marks in 10+2, he/she will get:
