- Standard Operating Instructions for collection of Physical and Digital evidence.
- Quality Control, Assurance, Frye Standard, and Daubert Standard.
ii. Toxicology
- Poison Fundamentals: Definition, classification, poisoning types, and routes of administration (ADME).
- Lethal Dose: Understanding LD50 and isolation of poison from biological specimens.
- Analytical Chemistry: Qualitative and Quantitative analysis of toxicants, corrosive, and irritant poisons.
- Alcohol Analysis: Estimation of liquor in breath, blood, and urine. Analysis of Methanol, Ethanol, Acetone, and Chloroform.
- Gases & Alkaloids: CO and other poisonous gases. Alkaloids definition, classification, and properties. Preliminary screening for drugs of abuse.
2. Subject-Specific: Chemistry (Graduation Level)
i. Inorganic Chemistry
- Atomic Structure: Bohr’s theory, de Broglie’s relation, Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, Schrodinger wave equation ($\psi$ and $\psi^2$), Quantum numbers, and Slater rules.
- Chemical Bonding: Lattice/Solvation energy, Born-Haber cycle, Fajan’s rules, VSEPR theory, Hybridization, and MO Approach (LCAO method).
- Elements & Periodic Table: Hydrogen (isotopes, hydrides), S-Block (periodicity), P-Block (Borohydrides, Fullerenes, Oxoacids), Noble Gases (Xenon compounds), and Lanthanides/Actinides (contraction and separation).
- Non-Aqueous Solvents: Solution chemistry of $H_2SO_4$ and Liquid $BrF_3$.
- Acids and Bases: Arrhenius, Bronsted-Lowry, Lewis, and HSAB concept.
- Coordination Chemistry: Crystal Field Theory (CFSE), Jahn-Teller distortion, Magnetochemistry, and Metal $\pi$ Complexes (Carbonyls/Nitrosyls).
- Analytical Chemistry: Data Analysis (Error types, F-test, t-test, Q-test), Nuclear Chemistry (Binding energy, Fission, Fusion, Tracer techniques).
- Bio-Inorganic: Metalloporphyrins (Chlorophyll), Metalloenzymes, Oxygen Carriers (Hemoglobin/Myoglobin), and Ion transport ($Na^+/K^+$ pump).
ii. Organic Chemistry
- Fundamentals: Inductive, Electromeric, Resonance effects. Reactive Intermediates (Carbocations, Carbanions, Free radicals).
- Stereochemistry: Chirality, Configuration (R/S and E/Z), CIP Rules, Racemization, and Prochirality.
- Hydrocarbons: Preparation and reactions of Alkanes, Alkenes (Saytzeff’s rule, Ozonolysis), Alkynes, and Aromatic Hydrocarbons (Friedel-Craft’s).
- Derivatives: Alkyl/Aryl Halides ($S_N1$, $S_N2$, $S_Ni$ mechanisms), Alcohols (Lucas test, Pinacol-Pinacolone), Phenols (Reimer-Tiemann), Ethers, and Aldehydes/Ketones (Aldol, Cannizzaro, Wittig).
- Polynuclear Hydrocarbons: Naphthalene, Anthracene, and Phenanthrene. Petrochemicals and Synthetic Dyes.

- Chemical Kinetics: Integrated rate equations (Zero, 1st, 2nd order), Collision theory, and Corrosion theories.
- Equilibrium: Phase Equilibrium (Gibbs Phase Rule, Clausius-Clapeyron), Chemical Equilibrium, and Ionic Equilibrium (pH scale, Buffer solutions).
