Applications are invited from citizen of India for selection/appointment on one post of State Information Commissioner in Himachal Pradesh State Information Commission, Shimla-2 under the provision contained in Section 15 (5) & (6) of the Right to Information Act, 2005. The term of holding office shall be three years from the date on which a State Information Commissioner enters upon his office or till he attains the age of 65 years whichever is earlier.

सूचना का अधिकार अधिनियम, 2005 की धारा 15 (5) एवं (6) में निहित प्रावधान के तहत हिमाचल प्रदेश राज्य सूचना आयोग, शिमला-2 में राज्य सूचना आयुक्त के एक पद पर चयन/नियुक्ति के लिए भारत के नागरिकों से आवेदन आमंत्रित किए जाते हैं। राज्य सूचना आयोग कानून, विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी, समाज सेवा, प्रबंधन, पत्रकारिता, मास मीडिया या प्रशासन और शासन में व्यापक ज्ञान और अनुभव के साथ सार्वजनिक जीवन में प्रतिष्ठित व्यक्ति होगा और संसद सदस्य या सदस्य नहीं होगा किसी भी राज्य या केंद्र शासित प्रदेश का विधानमंडल, जैसा भी मामला हो या लाभ का कोई अन्य पद धारण करता हो या किसी राजनीतिक दल से जुड़ा हो या कोई व्यवसाय करता हो या कोई पेशा करता हो। पद धारण करने का कार्यकाल राज्य सूचना आयुक्त के पद ग्रहण करने की तारीख से तीन वर्ष या 65 वर्ष की आयु प्राप्त करने तक, जो भी पहले हो, होगा।
