Applications are invited from Indian citizens for one (01) position of Project Associate-I/JRF in a Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES)-funded project (IITM/MoES/SYS/378) undertaken in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, IIT Mandi.

Project title: Aerosol brown carbon, humic-like substances and nitroaromatics in the Himalayas: implications for regional climate

Eligibility:

i) Minimum eligibility criteria: Master’s Degree in Chemistry/Environmental Science/Atmospheric Science/related areas (with 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA) or M.E./M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering/related areas (with 65% marks or 6.5 CGPA)

ii) Desirable: i) NET/GATE qualification; ii) experience in environmental chemical analysis, e.g., UV-visible, fluorescence and IR spectroscopy, ion chromatography, mass spectrometry, etc.

Candidates meeting the aforementioned qualification and experience should send their latest CV, scanned passport-sized photograph, scanned copies of educational degrees and certificates (10th standard onwards), experience certificates (if any), and NET/GATE qualification certificates (if any) to [email protected] by 2 nd October 2022. Candidates must clearly write “Application for Project Associate I/JRF” in the subject-line of their email communication. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. The interview will be held online and/or offline. The date and time of the interview along with other logistical details will be shared by email to the shortlisted candidates.

Terms and conditions:

The selected candidate will need to join the position immediately.
After joining, the candidate may get Institute accommodation based on availability as per Institute norms.
Merely fulfilling the eligibility requirement does not guarantee shortlisting for interview; higher shortlisting criteria may be imposed.
The decision of the selection committee regarding the interview logistics and selection process for the aforementioned post will be final.
No TA/DA will be paid in case the interview is held in person.
