Applications are invited from Indian citizens for a walk-in interview for one post of Project Associate – I in a District Disaster Management Authority Kinnaur funded project (IITM/DC-Kinn/VD/345) at IIT Mandi.
Title of the Research Project: Development of an operational monitoring system of landslides in Kinnaur district through satellite and low-cost IoT-based sensors data.
Project details: In this project, we intend to develop low-cost landslide monitoring and early warning system. We also intend to deploy the developed landslide monitoring system (LMS) in the landslide-affected areas in Kinnaur district, Himachal Pradesh, India. The deployment locations for the LMS will be determined via satellite analyses as well as site inspections.
Minimum qualifications: B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering or allied areas with a minimum 65% marks.
Desirable qualifications: Experience in web technologies, circuit design, Python language, and machine learning. Strong writing skills in English.
Joining date: As soon as possible.
Position: Project Associate – I
Salary: Maximum up to INR 15,000 per month
Duration: Up to 3-years or till the duration of the project.
