Applications are invited from Indian citizens for an online-interview for two posts of Project Associate-I in a District Disaster Management Authority Kangra (HP) funded project (IITM/DDMA-Kan/KVU/357) at IIT Mandi.
Title of the Research Project: Development and deployment of landslide monitoring system.
Project details: Development of field-based inputs, soil testing and development of framework for multi-scale alerts on landslide monitoring. We intend to develop a low-cost landslide monitoring and early warning system in this project. We also plan to deploy the developed landslide monitoring system in the landslide-affected area in Himachal Pradesh after confirming the sites at locations. Joining date: As soon as possible.
Position: Project Associate-I
Salary: INR 15,000 (or high for desirable qualification and relevant experience)
Duration: 1-year, and extendable to a maximum of 3 years based on performance

Minimum qualifications: BTech/MTech/MS/MS (By Research) in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering and related areas with a minimum of 60% marks. Experience in machine learning, C/C++ programming, and the internet of things (IoT) is required for this position. Minimum qualifications: BTech/MTech/MS in Civil Engineering or related areas with minimum of 60% marks. A candidate with interest in geotechnical engineering with desirable multi-disciplinary experience/interest with relevance to AI/ML/IoT applications are required.
