Applications are invited from Indian citizens for two posts of Project Associate-I in a District Disaster Management Authority Mandi (DDMA-M) funded project (IITM/DDMA-M/VD/358) at IIT Mandi.
Title of the Research Project: Development of a remote-sensing satellite-data enabled disaster (landslide) decision response system with local ground-based monitoring.
Project details: We intend to develop a low-cost landslide monitoring and early warning system in this project. We also plan to deploy the developed landslide monitoring system in the landslide-affected areas in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Satellite analyses would be carried out to identify deployment locations in the Mandi district.
Minimum qualifications: BTech or equivalent in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or an allied area with a minimum of 60% marks.
Desirable qualifications: Experience in machine learning, C/C++ programming, IoT applications, publications, PCB design, and good command over the English language.
Joining date: As soon as possible.

Salary: INR 15,000 per month
