Applications are invited from Indian citizens for an online-interview for two posts of Project Associate-I in a District Disaster Management Authority Kangra (HP) funded project at IIT Mandi. Title of the Research Project: Development and deployment of landslide monitoring system. Project details: Development of field-based inputs, soil testing and development of framework for multi-scale alerts on landslide monitoring. We intend to develop a low-cost landslide monitoring and early warning system in this project. We also plan to deploy the developed landslide monitoring system in the landslide-affected area in Himachal Pradesh after confirming the sites at locations.
Joining date: As soon as possible.
Position: Project Associate-I
Salary: INR 15,000 (or high for desirable qualification and relevant experience) Duration: 6 months, and extendable to a maximum of 2.5 years based on performance
Minimum qualifications: BTech/MTech/MS in Civil Engineering or related areas with minimum of 60% marks. A candidate with interest in geotechnical engineering with desirable multi-disciplinary experience/interest with relevance to AI/ML/IoT applications are required. Candidates with GATE qualification will be preferred.

The interviews would be conducted in an online mode. The interview date and time, and online link will be shared by email with candidates before the interview.
