Applications from Indian nationals are invited under the following project on a temporary basis with consolidated fellowship. The renewal of services for a few months/a year or up to the duration of the project whichever is earlier will be based on satisfactory performance.

Consolidated Pay-slab / Fellowship:-Rs. 31,000/-. p.m. for two years
Qualifications:- MSc/M.Tech or equivalent in Chemistry/Physics/material sciences/nanotechnology with minimum 60% marks
Desirable:Candidates with valid NET/GATE qualification and/or experience in working or knowledge with spectroscopy/microscopy/optical materials will be given preference.

IIT Mandi reserves the right to fix higher criteria for short-listing of eligible candidates from those satisfying advertised qualification and requirement of the project post and their name will be either displayed on web site or communicated individually alongwith the offline/online interview details. Only short-listed candidates will be informed for offline/online interview. Relaxation of marks may be granted to the SC/ST Candidates as per GoI norms. Any other conditions to be added by the PI:—-
1. Duration of the Project: Initially the position will be offered for one year. Upon satisfactory performance the position could be extened further till the availability of the fund.
2. Job Description: Working on synthesizieng new fluorescent nanodots and their proper characterization for super resolution bioimaging inside live cell. Understanding and excecution of the most advanced level bioimaging techniques. Routine work on optical data measurements and any other related to the project. It also involve in proper project planning, chemicals procurement, managing, executing and reports preparation.
3. Age Relaxation: Upper age limit not more than 28 years as on the date of advertisement. Relaxation will be given as per the government rule.
4. Candidate before appearing for the interview shall ensure that they are eligible for the position they intend to apply

6. The candidate should clearly mention the following details in CV: a. about NET/GATE qualification (Year, rank etc.) in CV. b. Detailed CV including contact details and academic qualifications c. Degree/certificates obtained in chronological order d. Experience including research, industrial field and others
7. The coordinators have the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the announcement or not to select anyone for this post.
8. Merely fulfilling the eligibility requirement does not guarantee shortlisting for interview; additional criteria may be imposed for shortlisting. The shortlisted candidates will only be informed about the date and time of the online interview. (No information or communication will be made with candidates who are not shortlisted.)
9. The nature of the post is purely temporary (on contract basis).
10. JRF may get PhD admission subject to performance and fulfilling admission criteria of IIT Mandi
