IIT Mandi Walk-in Interview 2026 for Female Medical Officer & Specialist Doctor

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, Himachal Pradesh has released an official notification for Walk-in Interviews for the post of Female Medical Officer (GDMO) and Specialist Doctor on a purely temporary and contract basis. Eligible candidates can apply as per the details given below.

📅 Walk-in Interview Details

Date: 15 January 2026
Time: 10:30 AM
Venue: Conference Room, CV Raman Guest House, North Campus, IIT Mandi

The appointment will initially be for one year and may be extended based on performance and institutional requirements.

📋 Post Details & Qualification

🔹 Female Medical Officer (GDMO)

MBBS degree with completion of compulsory rotating internship
Registered with Medical Council of India (MCI) / State Medical Council
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a recognized hospital (Desirable)
Experience in handling medical/hospital emergencies
Willingness to stay on campus and perform night duties

🔹 Specialist Doctor

Post Graduate Diploma in relevant medical branch with minimum 1 year experience in a recognized hospital OR
MD / MS / DNB in relevant branch of Medicine or Surgery
Preference given to specialists in General Medicine, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics & Gynecology
Registered with MCI / State Medical Council

💰 Salary / Consolidated Emoluments

Specialist Doctor: ₹1,25,000 to ₹2,00,000 per month
Female Medical Officer (Experienced): Up to ₹1,20,000 per month
Female Medical Officer (Fresher): ₹65,000 per month

🎯 Age Limit

Preferably below 60 years.

Note: IIT Mandi reserves the right to conduct a written examination depending on the number of applicants.
