Important Notice For PGT Post :- HPPSC Shimla-Apropos to this Commission’s advertisement Nos. 8/10-2023 to 17/10-2023, dated 17-10-2023, whereby 585 post(s) Lecturer (School- New) in subjects English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Commerce were advertised. It is notified for all concerned candidates that as per the Recruitment & Promotion Rules for the said post(s) following is the essential qualification.
1. Academic qualification :-
(i) Master’s Degree in the subject concerned from a recognized University (with minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate) in the following subjects, namely:-
(a) Lecturer (School- New) (English) : English
(b) Lecturer (School- New) (Hindi): Hindi
(c) Lecturer (School- New) (History): History
(d) Lecturer (School-New) (Political Science): Political Science
(e) Lecturer (School- New) (Economics) : Economics/Applied Economics/ Business Economics
(f) Lecturer (School- New) (Mathematics) : (Mathematics/ Applied Mathematic)
(g) Lecturer (School-New) (Physics): Physics/ Electronics/ Nuclear physics
(h) Lecturer (School- New) (Chemistry): Chemistry/ Biochemistry.
(i) Lecturer (School-New) (Biology) : Botany/ Zoology/ Life Sciences/ Microbiology/BioTechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Plant Physiology Provided that they have studied Botany and Zoology at Graduation level.
(j) Lecturer (School-New) (Commerce): Commerce with Accountancy/ Financial Accountancy and Income Tax as major subject of study. Holders of degree of MFC (Master of Finance Control) are also eligible for the post of Lecturer (School- New) in Commerce subject.

2. (a) Professional qualification:-
(i) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) as professional qualification from recognized University/ Institutions with minimum 50% marks; OR Two years integrated M.Sc. Ed. Course from a recognized University. Candidates are also advised that marks of degree should not be rounded off and only exact percentage should be filled in the ORA. Further candidates are also advised to submit the Online Recruitment Application well in advance without waiting for the closing date.
