On the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Draupadi Murmu has allocated departments (ministries) to the ministers of the government. Amit Shah has been made the Home and Cooperation Minister in the Central Government again, while Rajnath Singh has also been given the responsibility of the Defense Ministry again. Nitin Gadkari has also been made the Minister of Road Transport and Highways while retaining his old ministry. S. Jaishankar has also been made the Foreign Minister again and Nirmala Sitharaman has been made the Finance and Corporate Minister.
