Notice :-Regarding H.P. State Eligibility Test-2023 examination in r/o Mathematical Sciences and Music for option of group or Part thereof.
It is for information of all concerned that the H.P. Public Service Commission had conducted the H.P. State Eligibility Test-2023 examination on 28th April, 2024 in different examination centers throughout the State. That in Paper-II in the subject of Mathematical Sciences and Music there were two parts of the question Booklet i.e. Part-I was common to all candidates; whereas Part-II was further divided into Two groups i.e. A & B, out of these two groups in the subject of Mathematical Sciences, the candidates were required to opt/attempt any one group and encode the same in the OMR Answer sheets in the column of Booklet Series. Similarly, in the subject of Music, Part-II was further divided into four groups i.e. A, B, C & D and the candidates were required to opt/attempt any one group and encode the same in the OMR Answer Sheet in the column of Booklet Series. It has come to the notice of the Commission that despite clear cut instructions to the Centre Supervisors and to the candidates elaborated in the title page of the Question Booklet (Instruction No.2), a few candidates have not encoded the group opted/attempted in both these subjects. This has made it difficult for the Commission to evaluate the OMR answer Sheets of such candidates. Therefore, the Commission, after taking a lenient view in the matter has decided to provide one opportunity, in public interest, to all such candidates (List enclosed as Annexure A & B) who have not encoded the series of the group they have opted/attempted in their respective subject in the column of Booklet series in the OMR answer sheets, to submit the following format of undertaking (Annexure-I) in the office of H.P. Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar, Shimla-171002 within 10 days positively i.e. upto 12-08-2024, failing which their OMR Answer sheet will not be evaluated and will be rejected straightway in the absence of non-encoding of group opted/ attempted
