Padma Shri Recipient Lalita Vakil
- ललिता वकील का जन्म 14 अप्रैल 1954 को चंबा के सपड़ी मोहल्ला में हुआ था।
- ललिता वकील ने 1970 में चंबा से उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त की थी ।
- 1978-80 में ITI चंबा से डिप्लोमा किया था ।
- ललिता वकील चंबा रुमाल की कढ़ाई की प्रदर्शनी के लिए 2006 में जर्मनी भी गयी थी ।
- ललिता वकील ने कनाडा में कैनेडियन ट्यूलिप फेस्टिवल में भी 2011 में भाग लिया था ।
- ललिता वकील ने चंबा रुमाल को देश विदेश में अपनी एक अलग पहचान दिलाई है। इन्ही कारणों की वजह से इन्हे आज पद्मश्री पुरस्कार से नवाजा गया है।
- ललिता वकील को पहले भी 3 बार राष्ट्रपति अवार्ड मिल गया है।
- 1993 में तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपति शंकर दयाल शर्मा और 2012 में राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी ललिता वकील को शिल्प गुरु सम्मान दे चुके है।
- ललिता वकील को 2018 में नारी शक्ति पुरस्कार मिला।
- ललिता वकील को आर्ट के क्षेत्र में पद्मश्री मिला है।
- Lalita Vakil was born on 14 April 1954 in Sapri Mohalla, Chamba.
- Lalita Vakil did her higher education from Chamba in 1970.
- He did diploma from ITI Chamba in 1978-80.
- Lalita also went to Germany in 2006 for the exhibition of embroidery of Vakil Chamba Rumal.
- Lalita Vakil also participated in the Canadian Tulip Festival in Canada in 2011.
- Lalita Vakil has given Chamba Rumal a different identity in the country and abroad. Due to these reasons, he has been awarded the Padma Shri award today.
- Lalita Vakil has received the President’s Award thrice in the past.
- In 1993, the then President Shankar Dayal Sharma and in 2012, President Pranab Mukherjee has given the Shilp Guru Samman to Lalita Vakil.
- Lalita Vakil received the Nari Shakti Puraskar in 2018.
- Lalita Vakil has received Padma Shri in the field of Art.
