PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Lari, District Lahaul & Spiti, Himachal Pradesh has released a notification for Walk-in Interviews to engage eligible candidates on a contract basis for the academic session 2025–26. Vacancies are available for PGT (English), TGT (Maths), TGT (Art), Counselor (Female) and Hostel Superintendent (One Male & One Female).

Educational Qualifications (Post-wise)
PGT (English)
- Two-year Integrated Post Graduate Course from Regional College of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the concerned subject OR
- Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the concerned subject.
- Desirable: B.Ed and experience of teaching in a recognized institution; working knowledge of computers.
TGT (Maths)
- Bachelor’s Degree in concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- B.Ed from NCTE recognized institution.
- Qualified in CTET (Paper-II) conducted by CBSE.
- Competence to teach through English and Hindi.
- Subject combination as per NVS norms (Maths with any two of Physics/Chemistry/Computer Science/Statistics).
- Desirable: Working knowledge of computers; experience in residential schools.
TGT (Art)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts/Drawing & Painting/Sculpture/Graphic Arts with at least 50% marks.
- B.Ed from NCTE recognized institution.
- Qualified in CTET (Paper-II).
- Desirable: Knowledge of English & Hindi; working knowledge of computers; experience in residential schools.
Counselor (Female)
- M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology from a recognized university.
- One-year Diploma in Guidance & Counselling from a recognized institution.
- Desirable: Skills in adolescent psychology, emotional intelligence, learning disabilities (ADHD), behaviour assessment; experience in residential/educational institutions.
Hostel Superintendent (One Male & One Female)
- Graduation in any discipline.
- Desirable: Master’s Degree/B.Ed; proficiency in regional language (to be verified during personal talk).
- Age Limit (as on 01.05.2025): 35–62 years.
- Experience: Minimum 02 years experience in Pay Level-3 (or equivalent) in any recognized residential school/hostel or Ex-Defence personnel with relevant experience.
Selection Process
- Selection will be done through Walk-in Interview.
- Candidates will be assessed on academic qualifications, experience and performance in the interview.
- Final engagement will be purely on contract basis for the session 2025–26.
How to Apply (Walk-in Interview)
- Eligible candidates should report at the venue on the interview date and time.
- Carry original documents along with self-attested photocopies of certificates, mark sheets, CTET certificate (where applicable), experience certificates and ID proof.
- Bring recent passport size photographs.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

- Engagement is temporary and valid for the academic session 2025–26 only.
- The school reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process without prior notice.
- Eligibility criteria and remuneration are as per NVS/PM SHRI norms.

Is this recruitment permanent?
No. The engagement is purely on a contract basis for the academic session 2025–26.
Is CTET mandatory for all posts?
CTET (Paper-II) is mandatory for TGT posts as per norms. It is not applicable to PGT and Counselor posts.
Can candidates from other states apply?
Yes, eligible candidates from any state can attend the walk-in interview.
