RPGMC Tanda Research Nurse Recruitment 2023:-We are seeking Research Nurses to support Phase 3 of the ongoing Perinatal Mental Health Study (PHS). The study aims to improve our understanding of common mental health disorders during pregnancy and the postnatal period in India. Applications are invited for contractual position in research project to be implemented by the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Psychiatry Departments, DRPGMC Tanda for the research topic of *Perinatal Mental Health in India”. The on-site investigators at DRPGMC Tanda are Dr Ashok Verma (OBG Department), Dr (Maj) Sukhjit Singh and Dr Pankaj Kanwar (Psychiatry Department). The study is funded by the University of Oxford, UK.
Post: Research Nurse for Perinatal Mental Health Study (Phase 3)
Duration: Initially for 89 days re-appointment subject to work performance and conduct.
Salary: As per norms of the funding agency.

We are seeking 6 Research Nurses to support Phase 3 of our Perinatal Mental Health Study. The overall study aim is to improve understanding of perinatal mental disorders in India. Phase 3 is a cohort study. Participants will be recruited during early pregnancy and followed up until six months post-partum. Participants will attend four study visits during which they will be asked about their mental health and related factors. The suitably experienced Research Nurses will be responsible for identifying and recruiting participants, collecting socio-demographic information and administering mental health questionnaires. Recruitment will be at DRPGMC and in surrounding community district settings. The duration of the study (including completion of follow-up of all participants) is expected to take 3 years (36 months). The Research Nurses will work alongside Psychiatrists who will offer follow-up to any participants who are identified as having a mental health disorder.

RPGMC Tanda Research Nurse Recruitment 2023 Overview:-

Responsibilities
• Assess eligibility of participants and recruit to the study
• Explain the study to participants and take informed consent
• Collect socio-demographic data from participants
• Administer mental health screening tools to participants
• Follow-up participants at the appropriate times
• Enter data online using an electronic tablet and ensure data is uploaded
• Ensure secure and accurate collection, handling, storage and transfer of data
• Report to the Site Principal Investigator (Professor Ashok Verma) and the Chief Investigator (Dr Gracia Fellmeth) on an agreed schedule

Essential skills

• Fluent in English, Hindi and any local vernacular language
• Bachelors degree or higher in nursing
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable skills

• Prior experience of working on ICMR project including participant recruitment, consent taking and data entry
• Experience of working in the field of mental health

4. During the currency of the project, DRPGMC Tanda as well as University of Oxford will have no legal liabilities relating to staff.
5. Contract can be terminated at any time based on the performance of the staff.
6. Remuneration offered can be increased or decreased depending on the funding by the funding agency.
