सिरमौर प्रजामंडल हिमाचल प्रदेश के प्रजामंडल आंदोलन के इतिहास में एक महत्वपूर्ण संस्था थी। वर्ष 1934 ईस्वी में सिरमौर रियासत में इस प्रजामंडल की स्थापना की गई। इसका उद्देश्य रियासत के लोगों की समस्याओं को सामने लाना और उनके अधिकारों के लिए आवाज उठाना था। इसकी स्थापना अखिल भारतीय रियासती प्रजा परिषद के विचारों और प्रस्तावों से प्रभावित होकर की गई थी।

Sirmaur Prajamandal was an important organisation in the history of the Prajamandal Movement in Himachal Pradesh. It was established in the Sirmaur princely state in 1934. The organisation aimed to raise public issues and advocate the rights of the people living in the princely state. Its formation was influenced by the ideas and resolutions of the All India States’ Peoples’ Conference.

सिरमौर प्रजामंडल के संस्थापक पंडित राजेंद्र दत्त थे। उन्होंने इसका कार्यालय नाहन के स्थान पर पांवटा में स्थापित किया। चौधरी शेर जंग, मास्टर चतर सिंह, सालिगराम, कुंदन लाल और अजयाब सिंह जैसे लोगों ने भी इसमें सक्रिय भूमिका निभाई।

Pandit Rajendra Dutt was the founder of Sirmaur Prajamandal. He established its office at Paonta instead of Nahan. Other prominent participants included Chaudhary Sher Jang, Master Chatar Singh, Saligram, Kundan Lal and Ajayab Singh.

12 अक्टूबर 1930 को पंजाब तथा पहाड़ी रियासतों की प्रजा का पहला सम्मेलन लुधियाना में आयोजित किया गया था। इस सम्मेलन में सिरमौर रियासत के पांवटा से सरदार भगत सिंह तथा दो अन्य व्यक्तियों ने सिरमौर का प्रतिनिधित्व किया।

इसी अवधि में सिरमौर रियासत के पंडित शिवानंद रमौल ने दिल्ली स्थित “सिरमौर एसोसिएशन” के सदस्य बनकर अपने आंदोलनकारी जीवन की शुरुआत की। रियासत के भीतर राजेंद्र दत्त और उनके सहयोगी इस गतिविधि का संचालन करते रहे।

On 12 October 1930, the first conference of the people of Punjab and the hill princely states was held in Ludhiana. Sardar Bhagat Singh from Paonta, Sirmaur, along with two other individuals, represented the Sirmaur princely state at the conference.

During the same period, Pandit Shivanand Ramaul of Sirmaur began his activist journey by becoming a member of the Sirmaur Association based in Delhi. Rajendra Dutt and his associates continued to organise related activities within the princely state.
