SSC CPO Recruitment 2026: Notification Out for 3073 Posts, Apply Online

SSC CPO Recruitment 2026: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) Examination, 2026. The notification has been released on 10 September 2026.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official SSC website from 10 September 2026. The last date to submit the online application form is 30 September 2026 up to 11:00 PM.

According to the recruitment notification, a total of 3073 tentative vacancies are available for different Sub-Inspector posts. SSC CPO Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill the required educational qualification for the post they are applying for.

• Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
• Sub-Inspector in CAPFs: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
• Delhi Police SI Male: Candidates should also have a valid LMV driving licence as required.
• Sub-Inspector (Fire) in CISF: Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, or a 3-year Diploma in Engineering, as applicable.

SSC CPO 2026 Age Limit

The age limit varies according to the post:

• Most Sub-Inspector Posts: 20 to 25 years.
• Sub-Inspector (Fire) in CISF: 18 to 30 years.

The age will be calculated as on 01 August 2026. Age relaxation will be available to eligible reserved categories according to government rules.

SSC CPO 2026 Physical Standards

Physical standards are important for SSC CPO candidates because shortlisted candidates have to qualify the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET).

Male Candidates

• General/OBC/SC: Height – 170 cm; Chest – 80-85 cm
• Hill Areas/Gorkhas/Dogras etc.: Height – 165 cm; Chest – 80-85 cm
• ST Candidates: Height – 162.5 cm; Chest – 77-82 cm

Female Candidates

• General/OBC/SC: Height – 157 cm
• Hill Areas: Height – 155 cm
• ST Candidates: Height – 154 cm

SSC CPO 2026 PET Requirements

For Male Candidates

• 100 metre race – 16 seconds
• 1.6 km race – 6.5 minutes
• Long Jump – 3.65 metres
• High Jump – 1.2 metres
• Shot Put (16 lbs) – 4.5 metres

For Female Candidates

• 100 metre race – 18 seconds
• 800 metre race – 4 minutes
• Long Jump – 2.7 metres
• High Jump – 0.9 metre

SSC CPO Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process for SSC CPO 2026 generally includes the following stages:

1. Computer Based Examination – Paper-I
2. Physical Standard Test (PST)

4. Computer Based Examination – Paper-II
5. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
6. Document Verification (DV)
