Dr. Tara Devi Sen honoured with Senior Scientist Green Award – डॉ. तारा देवी सेन को मिला सीनियर साइंटिस्ट ग्रीन अवार्ड
Dr. Tara Devi Sen, Head of the Botany Department at Vallabh College, Mandi, has been honoured with the Senior Scientist Green Award at the 6th World Environment Summit.
The event was jointly organised by the Environment & Social Development Association (ESDA) and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi.
She received the award from Dr. Amjath Ahmed, Minister of State for Fisheries & Marine Resources, Republic of Maldives.
Distinguished guests present included India’s Ambassador Nagesh Singh, Amity University Vice-Chancellor Prof. P.B. Sharma, Dr. Anthony Fullfresh (USA), Dr. Ali Najeeb (Maldives) and other international experts.
The summit saw participation from South Asian nations such as Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives, and other countries including Nigeria, Australia, Ukraine, and UAE.
This year, the conference was held in Thailand from 9–11 November, in both online and offline modes.
Dr. Sen was honoured for her significant contributions in biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, innovation in traditional foods, and environmental education.
She dedicated her award to her parents Man Singh Sen and Deepika Sen, family members, and mentor Dr. Chiranjit Parmar.
वल्लभ कॉलेज मंडी की वनस्पति शास्त्र विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ. तारा देवी सेन को छठे वर्ल्ड एनवायरनमेंट समिट में सीनियर साइंटिस्ट ग्रीन अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया गया।
यह आयोजन एनवायरनमेंट एंड सोशल डेवलपमेंट एसोसिएशन (ESDA) और डॉ. भीमराव आंबेडकर कॉलेज, दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से आयोजित किया गया।
उन्हें यह सम्मान मालदीव गणराज्य के मत्स्य एवं समुद्री संसाधन राज्य मंत्री, डॉ. अमजथ अहमद द्वारा प्रदान किया गया।
कार्यक्रम में भारत के राजदूत नागेश सिंह, एमिटी विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रो. पी.बी. शर्मा, अमेरिका के डॉ. एंथनी फुलफ्रेस, मालदीव के डॉ. अली नजीब सहित कई अंतरराष्ट्रीय विशेषज्ञ उपस्थित रहे।
सम्मेलन में नेपाल, बांग्लादेश, मालदीव सहित नाइजीरिया, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, यूक्रेन और यूएई के प्रतिनिधियों ने भाग लिया।
यह सम्मेलन 9–11 नवंबर तक थाइलैंड में ऑनलाइन और ऑफलाइन दोनों माध्यमों से आयोजित हुआ।
डॉ. सेन को यह सम्मान जैव विविधता संरक्षण, सतत विकास, पारंपरिक खाद्य पदार्थों में नवाचार और पर्यावरण शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में योगदान के लिए दिया गया।
उन्होंने यह सम्मान अपने माता–पिता मान सिंह सेन, दीपिका सेन, परिवार के सदस्यों और अपने मार्गदर्शक डॉ. चिरंजीत परमार को समर्पित किया।
