HP Forest Department JOA (IT) Recruitment 2026 – 2 Posts, Eligibility, Dates & Application Form

Himachal Pradesh Forest Department has invited applications for the post of Junior Office Assistant (IT) – JOA (IT) from eligible candidates belonging to the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category. The recruitment has been notified through Advertisement No. Ft.HB(15)-437/2026(E-III).

A total of 2 posts are available, including 1 post for Visually Impaired (VI) candidates and 1 post for Hearing Impaired (HI) candidates.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the post of JOA (IT) must fulfill any one of the prescribed educational qualifications:

1. Should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized Board of School Education/University.
2. OR Matriculation from a recognized Board of School Education with one/two years Diploma/Certificate from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Information Technology (IT) & Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES), as notified by the Director General of Employment & Training (Government of India), from time to time.
3. OR three years Diploma in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/IT from a Polytechnic approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Typing Speed Requirement

Candidates should possess a minimum computer typing speed of:

• 30 words per minute (WPM) in English, or
• 25 words per minute (WPM) in Hindi.

Age Limit

The age of the candidates should be between 18 and 45 years.

Important Eligibility Conditions

• The candidate should be a Bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh.
• The recruitment is specifically for eligible Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
• The candidate should possess a valid disability certificate and submit an attested copy along with the application.
• Educational qualification and age proof should also be submitted with the application.
• The candidate should be an Indian citizen.
• The appointment will be made on a contractual basis.
• The contractual appointee will not have any right to claim regularization or permanent absorption in Government service.
• The candidate should possess knowledge of computers.

Bonafide Himachali Requirement

Candidates must furnish proof of their Himachali Bonafide along with the application. The notification specifically states that candidates should be Bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh.
