Himachal Pradesh MLT Recruitment 2026: 18 Medical Laboratory Technician Gr-II Posts
Himachal Pradesh Health and Family Welfare Department has issued a Public Notice regarding the filling up of 18 posts of Medical Laboratory Technician Gr-II (Job Trainee) through batch-wise basis via Employment Exchanges in Himachal Pradesh.
The requisition for these posts has been sent to the Labour Commissioner-cum-Director Employment, Himachal Pradesh, for sponsoring the names of eligible candidates.

Educational Qualification
As mentioned in the Public Notice, candidates must fulfill the essential qualification prescribed under the R&P Rules for MLT Gr-II:
- 10+2 in Science from a recognized Board of School Education.
- B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology / B.Sc. Medical Technology (Laboratory) / B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or an Institution affiliated to a recognized University.
- Alternatively, the prescribed qualification includes Medical Laboratory Technology (Lateral) as mentioned in the notice.
- The candidate should be registered with the Himachal Pradesh Para Medical Council for the above qualification.
Desirable Qualification
Knowledge of the customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in Himachal Pradesh is desirable.

- Last date for sending names by eligible candidates to the Directorate of Health Services: 15 October 2026
- Last date for candidates from tribal areas: 20 October 2026
Important: The recruitment is being processed through Employment Exchanges on a batch-wise basis. Candidates should carefully check their eligibility and batch before contacting the concerned Employment Exchange.
How to Apply / Selection Process
According to the notice, eligible candidates are to be sponsored through the concerned Employment Exchanges. Candidates should contact their respective Employment Exchange and ensure that their details and mobile number are correctly available for consideration.
The department has also stated that it will not be responsible for any delay in receipt of names from the sponsoring agencies due to any reason whatsoever.
