IIT Mandi invites applications from the interested candidates for the admission in Integrated-PhD (I-PhD) program in Physics for the academic year 2022-23, starting from August 2022. The IPhD program covers all the essential features of regular M.Sc. as well as Ph.D. program with the special emphasis on the training the students to the research at early stage, after the completion of one year course work. A suitable amount of fellowship will be paid to I-PhD students starting from the date of admission. The details can be found in the link http://www.iitmandi.ac.in/academics/files/iphd.pdf

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor degree (B.Sc. after the 10+2 or equivalent) with Physics and Mathematics as two of the subjects from a recognized university with at least 60% marks or CGPA of 7.
Candidate should have a valid score in the national level exam Joint Admission Test (JAM).
Candidates appearing in their final year examinations of bachelor program, can also apply. They should use the percentage (/CGPA) up to the previous semester/year while filling the application form. It is to note that such candidates (if selected) will have to produce all the relevant documents at the time of admission in order to show the fulfillment of all eligibility conditions.

Application Fee for Ph.D. Admission:

General/EWS/OBC/OBC (NCL)/Transgender/Foreign Nationals:- 200
Women/SC/ST/PD:- 100

Mode of Payment: SBI Collect Portal (https://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm) Applicant should submit fee on SBI collect portal of the IIT Mandi; and submit generated transaction number to the OAS admission application portal. One application fee is valid for the single application. The application fee is non-refundable.

Important Dates:

1.The last date for submitting online application form is 31 st May, 2022.

2.The list of shortlisted candidates will appear on our website tentatively by 10 th June, 2022.

3.The interview will be conducted tentatively by 20th June, 2022.
