The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET December 2025 Notification on 07 October 2025. Candidates can now check all the important details related to the NTA UGC NET December 2025 Exam, including important dates, eligibility criteria, application fees, exam pattern, syllabus, and result updates. The online application process has started from 07 October 2025, and the last date to apply online is 07 November 2025 (11:50 PM). The application fee for General category is ₹1150, for EWS/OBC ₹600, and for SC/ST/PH/Transgender ₹325. Candidates can pay the fee through online mode only. The correction window will remain open from 10 to 12 November 2025, while the exam date and admit card will be announced soon on the official NTA website.
To be eligible for NTA UGC NET December 2025, candidates must have passed or be appearing in the final year of a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (for General/EWS) and 50% marks (for OBC/SC/ST/Transgender). The UGC NET exam determines eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges.
