UPSC CDS I Recruitment 2026: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) I Examination 2026 under Notice No. 04/2026.CDS-I, dated 10 December 2025. This exam is conducted for admission into top defence academies like the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA) and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) for courses starting in January 2027 or April 2027. The online application window is open from 10 to 30 December 2025 (6 PM) on the UPSC official website. CDS is one of India’s most popular defence recruitment exams, giving graduates a great opportunity to join the armed forces as officers. The written exam will be held on 12 April 2026, followed by the SSB interview for shortlisted candidates.
