What is Him Bus Card Scheme:- HP Current Affairs

In Himachal Pradesh, the Sukhu government has made a big change regarding free travel in HRTC buses. The government has changed this policy and has now approved free travel only by making a card. In such a situation, now the women of the state will have to first get a card of Rs 200 to travel free in the bus. The same process will be followed for schools as well.

This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting held in Shimla under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. It is worth noting that earlier, women had the facility of free travel in Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) buses without any identity card. However, now ‘Him Bus Cards‘ will be issued to the beneficiaries.
