Himachal Woman’s Picture Becomes the Center of Attraction at Delhi’s Saras Aajeevika Fair

ग्रामीण विकास मंत्रालय द्वारा दिल्ली के इंडिया गेट पर 5 से 22 सितंबर 2025 तक सारस आजीविका मेला आयोजित किया जा रहा है। इसमें देशभर के स्वयं सहायता समूहों ने अपनी प्रदर्शनियां लगाई हैं। इस मेले की खास बात यह रही कि मेले के मुख्य द्वार पर हिमाचल प्रदेश जिला सोलन के धर्मपुर की निवासी निशा देवी की तस्वीर लगाई गई, जो आकर्षण का केंद्र बनी हुई है।
निशा देवी पिछले कई वर्षों से स्वयं सहायता समूह (SHG) से जुड़ी हैं और महिलाओं को स्वरोजगार से जोड़कर आत्मनिर्भर बना रही हैं। उनके चित्र को “आइए मिलिए लखपति दीदियों से” पोस्टर के रूप में प्रदर्शित किया गया है। यह हिमाचल के लिए गर्व की बात है कि दिल्ली सरस मेले में हिमाचल की महिला का चित्र मुख्य द्वार पर प्रदर्शित किया गया।

The Saras Aajeevika Fair, organized by the Ministry of Rural Development, is being held at India Gate, Delhi from 5th to 22nd September 2025. Self-Help Groups (SHGs) from across the country are showcasing their products. A special highlight of the fair is the display of a picture of Nisha Devi from Basholu village, Dharampur, District Solan (Himachal Pradesh) at the main entrance, which has become the center of attraction.
Associated with SHGs for many years, Nisha Devi has empowered village women by connecting them with self-employment. Her poster was displayed under the theme “Meet the Lakhpati Didis” by the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM). Visitors at the fair are taking selfies with her picture, making it a proud moment for Himachal Pradesh.
