The Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA), Hamirpur, has released Advertisement No. 15/2026 dated 03 November 2026 for the recruitment of Radiographer (Job Trainee) posts in Himachal Pradesh. HPRCA Radiographer Educational Qualification 2026
Candidates applying for the Radiographer (Job Trainee) post must fulfil the following essential educational qualifications:
- 10+2 in Science from a recognized Board of School Education or University.
- B.Sc. Medical Technology (Radiology & Imaging) or B.Sc. Medical Technology (Radio Diagnosis & Radiotherapy) or B.Sc. Medical Technology (X-Ray/Radio Diagnosis) or B.Sc. Radiation Technology or B.Sc. Medical Imaging Technology or B.Sc. Medical Technology (Radio Diagnosis & Imaging) or B.Sc. Medical Technology (Radiography & Imaging) or B.Sc. in Allied Health Science/Medical Imaging Technology or B.Sc. in Medical Radio & Imaging Technology or Bachelor of Radiation & Imaging Technology or Bachelor of Radiation Technology (Lateral Entry) from a recognized University.
- Candidates must be registered with the Himachal Pradesh Para Medical Council, Shimla (presently the State Allied Health Care Council, HP).
Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the State.
Important Note: Candidates should have passed Matriculation and 10+2 from a school or institution situated within Himachal Pradesh. This condition does not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.
HPRCA Radiographer Age Limit 2026
The minimum and maximum age limits for the recruitment are as follows:
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 45 Years
The age will be calculated as on 01 January 2026. The upper age limit is relaxable by five years for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes candidates, Persons with Disabilities who are domiciles of Himachal Pradesh, employees of the Himachal Pradesh Government and Ex-servicemen of Himachal Pradesh, as permissible under the applicable Government rules.
HPRCA Radiographer Salary 2026
Selected candidates will be engaged as Radiographer Job Trainees under the Job Trainee Policy-2025 notified by the Department of Personnel, Himachal Pradesh Government.
The consolidated fixed amount for the Radiographer (Job Trainee) post is Rs. 18,000 per month.
HPRCA Radiographer Selection Process 2026
The selection of candidates will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) or Written Screening Test, as decided by the Aayog.
The examination details are as follows:
- Examination Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT)/Written Screening Test.
- Total Marks: 120.
- Total Questions: 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- Duration: 1 Hour 30 Minutes.
- Marks per Question: 1 Mark.
Examination Syllabus
The objective-type screening test will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions carrying one mark each.
Part I: Questions related to the subjects/fields up to the level of the prescribed essential qualifications, as notified in the recruitment advertisement.
Part II: General Knowledge, including General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh and Current Affairs.
Part III: Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English and General Hindi of Matric Standard.

In case of a Computer Based Test conducted in multiple shifts, the scores will be normalized using the Z-Score Method (Mean and Standard Deviation Method) for preparation of the merit list.
HPRCA Radiographer Application Fee 2026
According to the official notification, candidates of all categories are required to pay the following application fee:
