| Environment Specialist /Expert | Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Sciences/ Civil Engineering /Biological Sciences/ Ecological Sciences, Hydrology from recognized university, Experience: at least 5 years experience in assessing environmental impacts, field based environmental research, significant involvement in EIAs and ESIAs of hydropower projects preferably in the Himalayan region. Developing environmental management plans/frameworks and monitoring and evolution strategies with at least 3 yeras in handling and coordinating hard core EIA/ESIA. Familiarity with the world bank/IFC safeguard policies and good knowledge of hydropower projects, especially the catchment management and hydrological monitoring is highly desirable. Experience having worked on world bank/or other Donor agency supported project is preferred, but not essential. Knowledge of Ecological limits of hydrologic alteration (ELOHA) framework is desirable. A Post Graduate Degree in Power Management, Trading other related aspects shall be preferred, Experience: Minimum 5 years of overall experience in power sale and understanding of Indian Power Market ancillary markets(including policy and regulatory aspects of market design) and understanding of policies and procedures of multilateral institutions like GoI/Sate of HP.
